Your adventure starts in the historic FORT WORTH Stockyards District where you’ll see a real, live rodeo and visit Billy Bob’s… the world’s largest honky tonk. Journey south-west to ENCHANTED ROCK State Natural Area, then on to our next stopover, the German heritage township of FREDERICKSBURG. Head out to the place Waylon and Willie immortalised in song… LUCKENBACH, TX. Onwards through the beautiful Hill Country to the Cowboy Capital BANDERA where we can ride horses (optional), have us a cook up, dance and listen to live country music. From here our trail heads west towards BIG BEND National Park, the RIO GRANDE River and the largest desert in North America. As this is a big feature of the trip, we’ll be spending many days here exploring, easy hiking and sightseeing this vast area. As we continue our loop, visit one of Texas’s most significant historic sites… ‘The ALAMO’ in SAN ANTONIO. The beautiful village of GRUENE and then finally GLEN ROSE. Unique and interesting shops, restaurants, the oldest continually operating dancehall, awesome bars and a great place to unwind at the end of our journey. With so much more… this is the ultimate Texas experience!
